For 12 years, I have been unable to use my family room fireplace. We are located at the top of a small rise and everytime the wind would gust up the hill, it would cause a terrible backdraft, and the house would smell like smoke. I stopped using the fireplace, because while I enjoy the comfort of a crackling fire, I hate the smell of eau de smoldering timber even more! I bought this set and thought I would give it a try. Upon arrival, my husband gave me one of those, "what crazy thing did you buy now?" looks. I have to admit, we were very skeptical. I put it together in about 15 minutes and had it set up and burning in about 25. I can't even tell you how much we have enjoyed this product! No chemical smell, no more smokey family room, no messy ashes to clean up. Just a beautiful fire complete with the crackling sounds. I bought enough gel cans for 1 fire every weekend throughout the winter. I have recommended this to most of my friends. Two and 1/2 hours of comfort...in a can. Buy it, you'll love it too!

This product lived up to expectations. Realistic fire with no odor and no ashes to clean.
We are now using our fireplace and experiencing all the enjoyment a wood fire gave us.
Oak gel Indoor conversion log set is a great option. Note, gel fuel is costly but a great option.
